Dovounnae Green
Former Director of Programming
2020-2021
Dovounnae Green is our Director of Curriculum & Program Development. Dovounnae graduated with Honors with Bachelor’s degrees in both Neuroscience and Biology from CUNY Queens College. A recipient of the Salman Hamdani Memorial Award (2019), she has served as president of both the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (2018-2019), as well as the Golden Key International Honor Society at QC (2018-2019).
During her undergraduate career, she worked as a research assistant (Adult Neurogenesis). Research that she has participated in has been presented at six conferences around the country. Post-graduation work includes lab work for a neuroscience lab studying ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects motor function. With this position she has been able to experience the world beyond the technical aspect. Witnessing how research touches the lives of patients has deepened her experience. This amalgamation of science and personal interaction is one she hopes to continue in the field of medicine. In her free time Dovounnae paints, mainly in acrylic medium. She wishes to share her love for art and science as she continues to develop her skills as a student researcher. |
